To those like me who struggle to see all the good and beauty in academic endeavors:
We often forget that educational work is for our own good. How will we learn to manage our time, be responsible, and be disciplined? How will we learn to persevere when things get frustrating? How will we learn to ask for help? How will we discover what things we are good at? How will we ever know how far our minds can grow if we don't have the right approach to learning? If we don't try, we will never succeed. 
And now I shall leave you this well-known piece of Scripture and be on my way:
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for man," - Colossians 3:23
